A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN has won the 2010 Golden Heart
for Regency Historical. The
same week, it won the 2010 Beau Monde Royal Ascot for Regency Historical, and it has since finaled in Heart
of the Rockies and in the Molly Contest in both the Historical and Unsinkable Heroine categories.
My second book, The Devil May Care, won the 2010 Beau Monde Royal Ascot in the Hot Regency category,
and won the Historical category of the 2009 Golden Pen. In 2010, it has also been a finalist in the Emily, Great
Expectations, and Fab Five.
Since I was a Golden Heart finalist for A Most Improper Gentleman
(then called Shameless) in 2009 as well, I'm lucky enough to count myself a member of the extraordinary Ruby
Slippered Sisters. I'll blog here when I can, but you'll hear more from me at the 2009 finalists' website, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com.

Really... I mean it. Check out the 2009 Golden Heart Finalists blog
at rubyslipperedsisterhood.com. It will do your heart and soul good.

More Good NewsTHE DEVIL MAY CARE is continuing its hot streak with contests, finaling in the Historical category of Wisconsin RWA's Fab
Five! I got back my preliminary score sheets today, and it got perfect scores (Squee! I do love this book!!)). Editor
and agent requests for DEVIL are piling up....
Now that I'm done with a new round of revisions
on A MOST IMPROPER GENTLEMAN (about which I'm also thrilled...very effective changes, I think!), I'm turning my
attention back to DEVIL, so it can get it out there in the world in advance of Nationals.
Woo-hoo!
Also, I never got a chance to say what a blast it was to host a discussion about the Yale Seminar on the Ruby
Slippered Sisterhood blog earlier this month! We had a huge turnout, with comments left by such august personages
as Julia Quinn (who stopped by at least three different times!), Eloisa James, Christine Wells, Smart Bitch Sarah Wendell,
Carrie Feron, scholar Eric Selinger, and of course the wonderful teachers of the Yale class, Lauren Willig and Cara Elliott,
all of whom had terrific, passionate things to say about the genre we all love.
Join me at rubyslipperedsisterhood.com on May 12 for a discussion of "Faceless Lovers and Other Cover Trends."

Join Me on the Ruby Blog today!!Come on over to the Ruby Slippered Sisterhood's website today, rubyslipperedsisterhood.com where I'm blogging about Lauren Willig's and Cara Elliott's fab Yale seminar
on the history of Regency romance. Lauren and Cara and some of their students are planning to stop by, so it should
be a lively discussion about the evolution of our genre and the whole question of "respect"!
